What Should You Expect after Your Charlotte CoolSculpting Treatment?

We all want to look our best – but when the dieting doesn’t work and exercise only goes so far, what’s next? For millions of Americans, the solution is simple: cosmetic surgery.

Coolsculpting Treatment in Charlotte

Here’s the problem: Many of the most popular, widely advertised surgical procedures are invasive and potentially harmful. For example, Mayo Clinic warns that traditional liposuction can cause skin infections, fat embolism and even kidney and heart problems. This is one reason why the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported such a rapid rise in non-invasive fat-reduction procedures such as CoolSculpting.

If you would like to learn the CoolSculpting cost in Charlotte, call Evolve Medical Associates. We offer a combination of spa treatments, skin care services and body contouring.

The Evolve team will answer your questions and explain what you can expect before, during and after your CoolSculpting procedure. Call (704) 610-5776 to schedule a consultation.

What to Expect after Your CoolSculpting Treatment

CoolSculpting is a relatively new, FDA-approved procedure that reduces the appearance of fatty tissue in targeted areas. Although traditional liposuction is more appropriate for removing large quantities of fat, CoolSculpting offers stunning results without the incisions and downtime of invasive surgery. The procedure is particularly effective for contouring the thighs, under the chin, the abdomen and under the buttock.

CoolSculpting makes use of controlled cooling to kill fat cells under the skin in specific areas of the body. This process, called cryolipolysis, does not freeze the skin, so it does not damage muscle, skin and other tissues.

During the treatment, a medical professional will use an applicator to pinch folds of your skin and cool the area. This will cause fat cells to die, and your body will continue to eliminate these dead cells for weeks and even months afterward.

While the applicator is being used, you might feel:

● A pulling or pinching sensation in the treatment area;
● Temporary, intense cold or stinging; and
● An eventual feeling of numbness in the region.

Immediately after your CoolSculpting treatment, you may experience:

● Mild redness and firmness in the area;
● Blanching or mild bruising around the edges of the treatment area; or
● A tingling sensation.

In the weeks following your CoolSculpting treatment, it is not uncommon to experience these temporary side-effects:

● Mild redness and swelling;
● Tenderness or mild cramping; or
● Skin sensitivity or numbness.

Can I Return to Normal Activities Immediately after Treatment?

Yes. Most patients can resume their daily activities after a CoolSculpting session. In fact, the process is so quick and comfortable that CoolSculpting has been nicknamed “The Lunchtime Procedure.” This is a welcomed change from traditional liposuction, which requires patients to take several days or even weeks off work to recover.
